For B.Tech, B.E and MCA graduates applying to their first software role through campus or off-campus drives.

Keywords ATS look for

Data Structures, Algorithms, Java, Python, SQL, OOP, REST API, Git, Spring Boot, Problem Solving

Example bullet points

• Built a placement-tracking web app in Java, Spring Boot and MySQL used by 600 students during the 2025 recruitment season.
• Cut dashboard load time from 4 s to under 1 s by adding database indexes and paginating API responses.
• Solved 350+ problems on LeetCode and CodeChef; ranked in the top 8% of a CodeChef Starters contest.
• Containerised the project with Docker and set up GitHub Actions to run tests on every push.

Tips

• Put Projects above Experience if you have no internship; recruiters read the top third first.
• Name the stack inside each bullet (Java, MySQL), not only in a skills list, so keyword filters match it in context.
• Add one number per project: users, speed, accuracy or lines of tests.
